Tasting Whole Milk for the 1st time

She went for her 1 year check up on Thursday. She got a clean bill of health. Her stats are as follows: Weight = 20lbs 12.5 oz (43%) Height = 30 in. (79%) Head = 46.5 cm (87%). The doctor was very happy with how well she is doing. The only thing to work on is the talking because she is still not saying Mama or Dada. We get alot of gagagaga gagagaga!

Ashley got to taste her first glass of milk today. She seemed to like it. She also enjoyed hitting the sippy cup on the high chair! She really likes to hit things together to make loud noises!

Happy Bday Ashley Part 2!

Ashley had a wonderful time tonight and got a few new toys, clothes and got to eat some cake!!! Here are some pictures as well as some video's, some of which might take a few to load. The only downside to tonight was towards the end Ashley was obviously getting tired and not able to stand as long. Well she fell down and gave herself a nice little bruise under one of her eyes!!! No pictures of that yet as we tended to her, saw family out and put her to bed. Hopefully it will be very little or gone by morning! Anyways, enjoy the pics and videos!

The first video is this morning when I went to wake up Ashley for the day!

Daddy it's too early!!!

Ok I guess I'll wake up!

It's Cake Time!!!

So there you have it, some small samples of Ashley's 1st Birthday! I'm sure we'll post more later but it's been a long day!

God bless everyone!

Happy Birthday Ashley!!!!!!!!!

This will be a very short post and lots of pictures from tonights celebration will be posted later. But for now, feel free to leave comments for Ashley.

Unoffically Walking!

Ashley got an early birthday present today from us! She loves it so very much!! It didn't take her long to figure out how to make it move. Just watch how fast she can go!!!! She stands by herself for a little while but has not taken any steps alone yet...only with adult hands or toys!

It is Offically her 1st Cold!

Poor Baby with runny nose and eyes

Well we made it 11 months and 2 weeks until we had to go to the doctor for being sick! Ashley has been fighting a running nose for the last week or so but over the weekend it got a lot more! I wanted to get her checked out just to make sure nothing else was wrong. No fever, no ear infection...just a cold! Thank goodness for that! Ashley now weighs in at 20.10 lbs and is working on getting one of her 1st molars...this explains all the extra drooling!!!!!!

She has discovered a new trick of holding onto the spoon with her teeth...she is quite proud of herself!

MRI Results Finally!

Well yesterday we finally got to see Dr. Sklar for the results of the MRI that we had a month ago. It was an adventure to say the least! It is amazing how doctor's offices think you can just drop everything at the drop of a hat. Our appointment was at 2pm and at 10 am they called wanting us to come right then. All good except Kathy was still teaching and wasn't scheduled to leave until 11:30! God was with me on this becasue I was able to get my kids to specials 5 minutes early and my sub could come a little early. Billy picked me up from school and off we went! We actually made it there within the hour! Our visit with the doctor was all of 10 minutes but that is a typical visit with this specialist. After viewing the latest MRI for Ashley he said "It looks a little bit better." Also the typical answer we get from him!! And the next thing he said was "Well lets come back in 6-8 months."

We are so blessed with good doctor visits! God has opened our eyes to so many more children that are less fortunate than we are. Our NICU friends Chelle, Sean, and baby Carter are in need of some extra prayers. Carter was actually released from the hospital and got to spend 18 days in the real world. He returned to the hospital yesterday with breathing troubles. His parents are trying to find housing for the rest of their stay in Boston which was suppose to be until the end of October.

Ashley is finally starting to use her sippy cup! Here are some recent pictures of her!

Juice dripping from her chin!

11 Months old and off to school!

I really can't believe that Ashley is one month away from her Big 1st birthday! She starts school tomorrow and Mommy is a little nervous! I am very lucky that she was able to spend the 1st 10 months of her life in the care of family! I was feeling good about her going to school because Ashley was going to have one of my parents from my class last year. I found out that she went into labor 6 weeks early today and won't be there for Ashley's 1st day! How ironic is that...Ashley was born 6 weeks early, and her teacher was actually due on her birthday! I will attach a picture of her 1st day later tomorrow.

Prayers for My Cousin and her new baby

My cousin Alyssa just had a baby boy, Nicolas Rylan, a few days ago. He was about 3 weeks early and is currently in the NICU. I don't know all the details yet but I think it has something to do with his breathing not being as deep as the doctors would like. I'm going to try and reach my cousin today to find out more details.

Please say a prayer for Nicolas, mom, dad and the doctors and nurses.

The New Schedule Begins!

Ashley had a trial run last week but this is the official start of the school year! She has been spoiled by being able to spend so much time with Mommy...Mommy has been spoiled too! This is harder for Mommy than for Ashley!!! We did find that God answered our prayers and Billy gets to work from home on the one day she doesn't get to go to the church daycare! It was funny on Friday as I was calling my class list, Ashley's teacher called me! Boy wasn't thinking that was going to start this early!!

Here are a few pictures of Ashley's new hair growth. :)

Quick update on a few things...

Baby Lilliana did have surgery and everything went very well! She has just recently made it home and baby and parents are doing great! Thank you for your prayers for the Lozier family!

Carter has gone home!!! At least as of the last post I saw he was supposed to have gone home. Prayers have really been answered, the road Carter has traveled has been amazing and words cannot describe what God has done. Please check out his blog if you never have, it will amaze you at what God has done and is doing!

Ashley had an MRI recently and we were forced to reschedule the follow up visit for Sept 8th. No news is not a bad thing as we have not heard anything yet. Our doctor would have called us if there was an issue. So all we can think at this point is that it hasn't changed or got better. Please continue to pray for Ashley as well!

We also just started how to change things up on here so if you see something weird from time to time, we are experimenting!

So now we are starting a Blog list of our Friends, so please also check out our great friends, The Minors!!! (cue the circus music for Karl to do a dance!)

If you would like your Blog to be added to our list, please let us know!

That's all I have right now, God Bless you all!
The Lenoirs!

It's Ashley Fun Time!

Not much to tell right now, we are actually going to have to reschedule her follow up visit to her doctor about the MRI from last week. We'll know tomorrow hopefully when the appointment will be. So here's a couple of pics Daddy took of Ashley and then there are a couple of video clips down below too. Ashley says hi to all!

I was trying to film Ashley to give everyone a little update. Well Ashley decided that Daddy was holding something really interesting and well... just view the video and you'll see what she decided to do.

Well the first one was so much fun we thought we'd go for take 2 :)

Well it was MRI Time Again

Ashley had an MRI yesterday to once again check on the status of her Hydrocephalus. We won't know anything until next Thursday when we go back to Children's to visit Dr Sklar. It was a rather interesting morning though for Ashley because she had to be sedated for this one. She was not too happy when the nurse came in to put a needle in her foot. Then of course she wasn't happy when they went to push in the actual sedation medicine into her but she went out like a light in what I think was less than 30 secs. I have to say it was creepy to watch Ashley go out that quick. She was fussy, then glassy eyed, then gone. eek! Of course it was a little creepier for Kathy because she was holding her and felt Ashley just go limp.

We will post results when we get them next week.

Urgent Prayers for our Friends!!!

I'm completely speechless at this point, so please read below and Pray Pray Pray!!!

Our friends Matt and Faith had a baby last night, Lilliana. It was a very long labor for Mom but baby Lilliana was born with her bladder outside of her body! Mom will have to stay at the hospital where she gave birth and the plan is for Dad and Baby to be transferred to Children's for Emergency Surgery. Please Pray! Pray! Pray! for Baby Lilliana to be ok. Pray for Matt and Faith as well!

More updates as I get them!

MRI Coming this Thursday

Well Ashley is finally going back for an MRI to check out the latest on her Hydrocephalus issue. She won't see the Doctor until the following Thursday but at least we're finally able to get her back for another check up. So please pray that this whole thing will be corrected and gone! I'd love to see Ashley be cleared of having to do anymore of these. Also please pray for Ashley to be calm and relaxed. She can't have any food after 5:30am the day of the MRI and nothing to drink after 9am until after the MRI which is scheduled at 11am.

We'll need prayers and patience if she gets too upset :)

Here's Ashley this morning saying Hello to everyone :)

10 Months Old and On the Move!

Ashley is 10 months old today and I can hardly believe it! Within the last week she has figured out how to make her knees move, and boy can she get where she wants pretty quick! Ashley has a new play yard for our living room so she can stay safe! :) She really likes to play in there and it is big enough that even Mommy, Daddy, or Kaitlin can get in there with her.

Playing with my cousins!

Don't we look cute!

1st Cookie

Ashley enjoyed having her 1st biter biscuit today. She is so very close to crawling. She makes at least 3 moves with her knees and then goes back to her tummy army crawl. She paid her Ammie a visit at her work and was able to crawl on her carpet but no where else! We have rearranged furniture and are getting ready for when she takes off! We are in trouble because she get places she wants really fast on her tummy, there is no telling how fast she will be on her knees!

Nice and clean...this might be yummy!

YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY!

Look what I learned how to do now!

I helped Ashley stand up once and showed her how to put her hands where she could hold herself up. She fell down and below is what happened. Again I only showed her this ONE TIME, what a smart kid we have!!! Watch and Enjoy :)

I think we're in trouble :)

9th month Check-up results

Ashley got all flying colors! She is doing amazing well and you would never know that she was six weeks early. Here are here stats- Weight: 19lbs 11 oz (59%), Height: 28 1/2 in (74%), Head Circumference: 17 3/4 (74%). The percentages are according to where she is on the 9 month chart!

Yesterday was our friends' from the NICU, Hannah's and Carter's 1st birthday. We would have loved to be able to see Carter but he is in Boston recovering from a transplant. Please remember to put him in your prayers! Hannah had a little get together at her house last night. Ashley had fallen asleep in the car on our way so it took her a little time to wake up and want to play. You can tell in the pictures that she wasn't so happy to begin with. Hannah was exploring how Ashley's face felt and she didn't like it! It was like the mirror but different! Later they did play on the floor with some toys. We will be making more playdates with Hannah! :)

"I don't think I like this!"

We can be friends!!

Playing on the floor with blocks

I think I want that yellow block.

No I don't think so!

Having Fun in the Walker

Ashley is enjoying walking all over the kitchen! She has figured out how to make it move and quickly, too! We have to watch out for our feet. So far she can make it go on the kitchen floor but not the carpet. Maybe this will help her want to get places quicker on the floor and she will start crawling! :) Enjoy the video.

Sending all our love to our far away family members in New York!

4th of July weekend

Ashley totally enjoyed her weekend of many firsts! We went to see a big fireworks show Thursday night with Aunt Lori and her crew. Ashley loved looking at the lights in the sky and being outside. She also enjoyed cooling off by spilling a drink on herself and Suzanne (Lori's sister-in-law). I was able to catch the just before it happened picture. You can tell that she is just about to grab the cup.

Ashley and Suzanne

Ashley in the walker at Ammie's

Yummy this tastes good!

The 4th of July was spent with Ammie and Papa at there house and then going to see more fireworks in McKinney. We were very close to them but the loud sounds did not scare Ashley at all! She enjoyed playing on the blanket and rolling all around outside. Ammie said that we were going to be in trouble on Saturday night because Ashley liked the fireworks so much and saw them for 2 nights in a row that she would be totally confused why there were not shiny lights in the sky.

Cheese!!!!

Wheeeeeeee this is fun!

Saturday afternoon we spent going to a Sunday school get together at someone's house. It was Ashley's first get together with friends. She had a couple of other babies to watch. One was crawling all over the place. I made sure that Ashley watched him very closely! :) After we left there, we decided to take Ashley and the family to Aunt Lori's swimming pool. She LOVED it! I think she thought it was a big bathtub and was wondering why everyone was in there with her!

Happy 9 Months Old Today!

It is hard to believe that Ashley is already 9 months old. The time has really gone by fast. She is so much fun to be around. The house is filled with laughs and screams of joy from her. Yes, she has found her high pitch scream of excitement while in her favorite exersaucer! Ashley visited the walker this morning on the kitchen floor for the 1st time. Once she realized that her feet made it move, she was having a great time going after Bailey the dog. She rolls all over the place when placed on the floor. She discovered that she can get up on her knees in her crib but hasn't tried it on the floor yet...It is just a matter of time before she is unstoppable! :-)
