Cute Animal Noises and New Bed!

Ashley has been working on making animal noises lately. Her very first animal noise to make is not the typical one...it is the noise of a Sheep! It is so cute!!! Mommy has been working on the cow noise but she has decided that a cow says "Me" instead of "Moo". Ashley now has 2 beds in her room...her crib and a cute little toddler bed. Aunt Lori and cousin Ryan decided that Ashley would love this little bed...and she does! Ammie made Ashley her very own cute little pink pillow to go with the bed. She has been napping during the day in her Big Girl bed but sleeping at night in her crib. She is growing up way to fast...21 months already!!!!

Ashley has been having fun playing with the dogs lately. She has gotten faster and stronger so it is a challenge for Bailey the dog to get away! The big green pool is now on the back patio instead of the living room. Cute video to watch!! :)

GREAT NEWS TODAY!

Ashley's neurologist called with the results of her CT scan from last Thursday... "It looks slightly better from the last scan so the doctor does not need to see her unless she develops any future problems!" Our prayers have been answered!!!! She does not look or act like a child with head issues so it has been hard to put her through the tests every 6 to 8 months. Here are some pictures that Daddy took while we were at the last CT scan.

For Father's Day we went to have dinner at Ammie and Papa's house. Ashley really enjoyed the cake. She especially enjoyed looking at her messy self in a mirror!!! The pictures were taken with Daddy's cellphone.

Learning New Things!

Well Ashley has been busy learning new tricks this first full week of summer vacation! She has learned how to climb up in her high chair all by herself. She actually has been doing this for a couple of weeks but this is the 1st time we caught it on video! She usually does it quite fast with no problems...not like the video clip. The other high chair trick is that she has figured out how to reach under the tray and release it. She thinks it is a fun game to un-click and push the tray off of the high chair. It scares Mommy every time! :)

Mommy has been letting her experiment with feeding herself. Ashley has been very excited!!! She wants to do it all by herself!!! In the last few weeks she only wants to eat something if she has it all...no little pieces...the whole thing! Bananas, pizza, hamburgers, etc...if she can hold it she wants it! The last few mornings she has been feeding herself yogurt...her favorite breakfast!

It was a very nice weekend spent with family! Mommy, Daddy, and Ashley spent some time together at the mall where Mommy got to pick out whatever her heart desires. We were able to spend time with both Granny and Ammie today. We went to take pictures outside by a waterfall.

Ashley is so much fun at this age...she is always making us laugh! She sings all the time and dances to anything music related. We caught her last night having a great time dancing to her music table. It was so funny to watch her start the song and prance around the living room and then run to make it start again! One time she hit a different button and the song did not last as long as she was used to...She threw up her arms as to say "What happened to my music" and then went and fixed it. It is the second video clip and it happens right before the end of it!

A Quick Update

Hi All,
Not a lot to say since Daddy has to wake up Ash in just a few mins. But I thought I'd post a couple of pics real quick. We recently Walked in the March of Dimes. We saw Hannah and Carter! It was so nice to see the Minors and Cates. We had a great time walking, talking and hitting IHOP afterwards! Here's a few pics. Daddy has to get moving before he's late for work!

The pic below I just snapped real quick but it's quite hilarious. It looks like Sean and Kaitlin were having an argument or something, haha!

This is a very touching picture for all of us. The Cates and Carter in front of his sign. If you don't know Carter's story by now, then you should go read about it sometime. Carter has gone through more than you can imagine but by the Grace of God, Carter is with us still and doing very well.

18 Months Old Already!

Ashley has been such a fun little girl this last month! She talks up a storm but of course we have no idea what she is saying!! She does have her select words that we do understand like Hi, Mommy, Daddy, thank you, welcome, Mo (No), Oh, Aitlin (Kaitlin), Enut (Peanut), and Ailey (Bailey). We have tried to get her to say "Please" but every time we ask her, she says "Thank you". It is quite funny to watch and hear! She loves to give kisses and hugs. Just in the last week she has been blowing kisses when we say "Love You".

She was playing in the kitchen (one of her favorite places to play) and decided to try on the mixing bowls for hats!



She has the cutest laugh and we were able to catch it on video last night. Watch and enjoy!! :)

Ashley has found that she can throw away her own diapers now. She is so smart and figures out how to solve a couple of problems while dealing with the trash can! Watch and you will see!!!

It Is Spring Break!

Sorry for the delay in posting a new entry on Ashley's blog! It has been a very busy month and a half at our house! Ashley has been growing like a weed and fighting illness off and on. That is the price you pay when she is in a school atmosphere 4 days a week. At least by the time she gets to Kindergarten she will have been exposed to just about everything and will have perfect attendance!! :) She is wearing 18 to 24 month clothes now!!!

Ashley has become a little social butterfly in the last month. Every time we are out at the store she is waving at everyone and saying "Hi". We call her "Our Little Wal-Mart Greeter!" When someone comes in the house she very excitingly says "Hi" and runs to you like she has not seen you in a longtime! The funniest time is when Billy comes home from work and Ashley gets a hold of his lunchbox and water bottle. We captured it on camera! :)

Ashley loves to read books! Her favorite one to read is Goodnight Moon. It is so cute when we read the part that says "The quiet old lady whispering hush" she always says something! We were able to catch it on camera as well!

She loves her Elmo couch! Here are some pictures of her sitting on it enjoying her books and the all time favorite addition...The Ball! One morning while she was sick with her first ear infection, Billy had a hard time getting her up and ready for school. He had her up and went to get the clothes and she decided it was better to go back to sleep on the Elmo couch! Enjoy the updated pictures and videos!!!

16 Months Old Today!!

It is so hard to believe that Ashley is already 16 months old...where does the time go!! Ashley got to go to the park and play this weekend for the 1st time. I know we should have done it a long time ago but she has been sick and you never know what kind of weather we will have in Texas. It was 70 and nice so we took advantage of it. It was a little windy and of course the camera caught that so sorry if it is hard to hear.

More Teeth on the way!

Well Ashley avoided having the rash that was predicted! We have discovered that her fever was probably caused by the new teeth that are trying to make an appearance. She is working on getting her bottom pointy teeth...now we really need to be careful of her teeth! Her mouth is filling up with teeth...new total of 14 teeth at almost 16 months old!

Ashley and Mommy are enjoying a relaxing day today since school was canceled due to ice on the roads! Mommy will have to make up the day in June during the last week of school but I don't mind today!!!! :)

Ashley has had weeks of not feeling so well. She started out having her 1st stomach bug! It was not a fun time at our house!!! It is hard to comfort a little one when they don't understand what is happening to their body. Well she managed to spread her germs to Granny, Grandpa, Mommy and Daddy! It was not a fun week at all! Mommy doesn't think she has ever been that sick.

We were all well for about a week. Ashley is exploring using her own spoon to feed herself. She really likes it!! Her new favorite snack would be Crunchies ... Daddy gave her the whole can and she thought it was the BEST! She also discovered it sounds cool when you make sounds into the can. Too Cute !

This past week she ventured to have a fever for 5 days with no other symptoms! She went to the doctor twice and not at all to school! The doctor finally came up with Ashley having roseola...fever and then a rash...we are still waiting on the rash!

This will be a short update as Daddy is about to take Ashley and Kaitlin to their schools. I came around the corner and caught Ashley on... well you can see below. We are all doing great at this time although lately Ashley has been learning the really loud high pitched whiny noises lately, a little more than normal. We're hoping it's just more teething pains :) God Bless!!!

Christmas 2008

Our Christmas holiday was packed full of family time! We spent Christmas Eve at church with Billy's parents and then went to Kathy's parent's house for a traditional Polish dinner! Ashley looked so cute in her Christmas dress!! She got some really cute things like a bear rug that is so soft, lots of books, and a musical piano. We also were able to catch a picture with all of the cousins and their funny hats!

Christmas morning was spent at home with just Mommy, Daddy, Kaitlin, and Ashley. Ashley was so cute walking down the hallway to see what Santa brought her. Billy caught it all on video! I will post them later since there are two 3 minute long videos!

We went to the country for Christmas lunch with Billy's parents. We also enjoyed opening more gifts as well! We spent a relaxing afternoon at their house and Ashley even took a 2 hour nap! We then packed up the van and headed to McKinney for a Prime Rib dinner at Kathy's parents. It was very yummy!!! :) By the time we got home that night we were exhausted!

We were at a birthday party the other night and Ashley had to get on this toy train and didn't want to get off. So I thought, photo op time! The pictures are a little blurry because all I had at the moment was my cell phone.

Thanksgiving Memories

Well I think we can officially say Ashley is walking! She can stay up on her feet walking from the living room to the kitchen. So now our lives change once again as she gains speed!!! We had to go to the doctor for a really yucky cough and nose...more medicine :) She nows weighs in at 22 lbs 11.5 oz

We spent the afternoon at Kathy's parents house. This is the first time Ashley has been there since she has been so mobile. Without a second thought she was able to master climbing the stairs in record speed! It was amazing how she climbed them like she had always been around them. She even managed to be very sneeky and get almost all the way up before anyone noticed.

Ashley has acquired a liking for mashed potatoes. She had a great time putting her fingers all over the tray and all over her face. It was cute and funny until she decided to wipe her eyes! Then we had lots of tears and a huge mess to clean up!

We were able to catch Ashley playing a new peek-a-boo game behind the curtains. It is so cute! Please enjoy! :)
